- leave the motorway A9 at exit 42 (Bayreuth Süd).
- Then follow the signs in the direction of the university.
- At the entrance to the University, keep left and follow the road until you see the trademark four bars of Ing. on the left-hand side with the blue-and-grey sun disk in front (info point 12).
- The building sections in which the majority of research groups of the Faculty of Engineering Science are located are designated FAN A-D or NW III.
- Parking is available opposite on the NW II parking lot.
Please note:
- The Chair Manufacturing and Remanufacturing Technology is located at Universitätsstraße 9.
- Further chairs are based at Ludwig-Thoma-Straße 36 and in the TAO building, Prof.-Rüdiger-Bormann-Str. 1.
- BayBatt "Bayerisches Zentrum für Batterietechnik" is located at Weiherstraße 26.
If you arrive by public transport,
- the train takes you to Bayreuth main station.
- You will find taxi stands and bus stops in the station forecourt.
- Bus 316 runs directly from the main station to the University campus on weekdays.
- Otherwise take a bus to the market/ZOH.
- From there, take line 304 (Birken/Universität) or line 306 (Universität/Campus) towards the University.
- Get off at the stop Universität/Geowissenschaften.
- Follow the road in the direction of the FAN building.
